It’s an action packed Tekken World Tour weekend. Here’s everything you need to know!

This upcoming weekend, Tekken fans around the world will have their eyes glued to two major events in the Tekken World Tour: Takedown and Punishment 2. These highly anticipated tournaments will bring together some of the best players from across the globe, all vying for prize money and valuable TWT points. Takedown will take place in Lahore, Pakistan, while Punishment 2 will be held in La Paz, Bolivia. Both events promise to showcase the best of Tekken gameplay, along with exciting commentary and a passionate community of fans.


Takedown is a highly anticipated Tekken World Tour Dojo 96+ event that will take place on May 6th and 7th at the Lahore Expo in Lahore, Pakistan. It features two popular fighting games, Tekken 7 and The King of Fighters XV, and offers a total prize pool of ₨2,000,000 PKR (approximately $7026.34USD). This is a significant amount of money for an esports tournament in Pakistan, and it has attracted many skilled players from all over the country.

Punishment 2

Punishment 2 is a Tekken World Tour Master event that will take place on May 6th in La Paz, Bolivia. It features 121 competitors for Tekken 7, with some of the notable players being Abel del Maestro (Peru), Sergie Mazter (Peru), Noel (Bolivia), Leoxaves (Brazil), XD La Maldita (Peru), Jackson Five (Chile), Tojo 2 (Bolivia), HDG TRUE ALVIN (Bolivia), and Sargento (Peru).


This is a one day tournament event that starts at 10am BOT (10am EDT, 3pm BST)


Commentators: MarkMan (Mark Julio), Spooky (Victor Fontañez), and MYK (Michael Y. Kwon).

Prize Pool and TWT Points

  • 1st: $2,500 USD and 400 pts
  • 2nd: $1,000 USD and 300 pts
  • 3rd: $650 USD and 220 pts
  • 4th: $350 USD and 150 pts
  • 5th-6th: $150 USD and 100 pts
  • 7th-8th: $100 USD and 70 pts

A pot bonus of $5,000 USD is included in the prize money.
