Ever since Tekken 7 released on Friday, June 2nd, many users have reported being unable to find matches in several of the online modes. Moments ago Bandai Namco released a statement saying that they are looking into the situation.
We have received inquiries from a number of customers regarding situations in which they appear to have trouble matching with other players in Ranked Match.
We are currently investigating the issue and plan to address the problem through an online update scheduled to modify the game spec and improve matching. Player and opponent character will no longer be displayed when searching for a match in Ranked Match.
More details regarding the update will be posted to the official Tekken site.
We apologize for any inconvenience which this may cause in the meantime.

This is very important because it has several implications. One, it affects the overall fun and enjoyment of the game. Two, it could potentially affect the overall sales of the game, especially here in the beginning. And lastly, we wouldn’t want those who have the game to abandon ship.
Hopefully this patch will be released within the next few days.
