Tekken Game Director Katsuhiro Harada announced in a tweet earlier today that Tekken 7 will receive an update on Day 1 that will be a little less than 600MB on the PS4. This does not exclude Xbox One (or maybe even the PC), but he was just providing a general idea of what the size could be, as it obviously differs for each platform. See his tweet below.

A twitter user  asked Harada if there was a Day 1 update, and he said “there is.”

According to Google translate he stated the following:

“There is. As I mentioned earlier, as it was only 40 gigabytes (somewhat disappointing with a volume that does not seem to be a big game) as it was announced in the past, it will be turned on a little less than 600 MB in the case of the first update (PS4), so I’d appreciate it if you leave the HDD open.”

He did not provide any details or specifics about what the update included, but there is speculation that there could be some additions made to the game. Some even hope that some of their beloved characters are added on Day 1. Could there also be some balance changes – nerfs and buffs?

We’ll know for sure on June 2nd.
