A Tekken 7 tournament is currently underway at Hypespotting 6 in Glasgow, Scotland, and a plethora of goodies about Tekken 7 are being discovered right and left. The latest PS4 version is being used at the event, which includes all of the characters we currently know about (yes, including Eddy Gordo, Kuma and Panda), all of the latest stages that we know of (Arena, Geometric Plane, Kinder Gym, Infinite Azure, and Violet Systems), and much more.
Here’s what we’ve caught wind of so far:
- New offline game mode called Treasure Battle
- Kuma and Panda unblockable move ‘Fatal Wind’ removed
- Bryan Fury’s qcb+3 no longer combos, nor launches on counter hit
- Duomo di Sirio (“Cathedral of Sirius” in Italian) stage music has changed
- Character Select music has changed
- The Main Menu no longer has question marks (?????), but shows the following menu items: Story Mode, Offline, Online, Customization, Jukebox, Gallery, Options, Player Information, PlayStation Store, VR Mode
The new Controller Setup makes things super easy. MarkMan had some thoughts to add as well.

@TekkenGamercom That's not even the best part. This is accessible from the character select screen. You can disable analog stick movement & button check.

@TekkenGamercom Purely a huge improvement from the TEKKEN Project Team for competitive players & tournaments.

@TekkenGamercom So if anyone button checks (the traditional way) at a tournament, I'm going to call them out on it.

Rage Arts can be assigned to one button, making it easier to execute. This means that you’ll no longer have to remember all of the various rage art button combinations for each character. We’re not mad at it. Tekken 7 must satisfy the casual gamer as well. This adds longevity to the game.

We’ll keep updating this story as more information hits the internet.
Aziz Peregrino-Brimah aka Zee the CEO | Founder / Editor-in-chief of TekkenGamer | Gaming has been a passion of Zee's since the early days of Atari and ColecoVision. His first experience with Tekken was in the early 90's, and it was Tekken 3 that sealed the deal. True story... As a teenager Zee once received his Winn-Dixie paycheck and spent it all at the arcade the same day. Needless to say, his mother wasn't pleased.
